It is very rare to have access to such small batch and high quality traditional French cheeses here in the states. We are fortunate to have Brie Fermier, which is unforgettable with its buttery texture. It is oozy at the rind with a firmer center that softens as it reaches peak ripeness. It has sweet cream and mushroom flavors characteristic of a well-made brie. Camembert Fermier echoes the mushroom and butter flavors of the brie but with vegetal notes toned down a bit. The aroma is mustier, with a suggestion of herbs. Its texture is more uniform, but still creamy. Stop by before it is all gone. (not always available)
