A few new Irish cheese varieties have arrived at the store. Durrus, made by Jeffa and Sarah Gill in County Cork, is made from pasteurized Cow’s milk, animal rennet. “Durrus is a semi-soft washed rind cheese, with a delicious sweetness to it. The aftertaste often sees flavors that range from white chocolate and hazelnut ice-cream to mushroom. It is made in Country Cork. We also have Gubbeen, a semi-soft, washed curd, washed rind cheese made by Gianna Ferguson, in Cork, Ireland. The flavors of this cheese are creamy with mushroom and nutty aftertastes but vary by the maturity of the cheese. We do have our usual selections of Irish cheese as well. Stop in to try them.
